Hallo ihr Lieben,
Die Vorweihnachtszeit ist hier immer recht schön. Das Wetter ist kühl, aber nicht unerträglich kalt. Tagsüber hat man auch immer noch warme Sonnenstrahlen. Jeder ist in einer festlichen Stimmung und es ist viel los, mit Hochzeiten, Konzerten, Weihnachtsmärkten und vieles mehr.

Wir feiern „Weltkindertag“
Wie jedes Jahr veranstalteten wir ein ganz besonderes Programm zum Weltkindertag. Warum machen wir das? Die Kinder sollen wissen und spüren, wie kostbar und wertvoll sie sind. Das ganze war unter dem Motto „You are a World Changer“ – „Du kannst die Welt verändern“
-Ja, die Kinder kommen aus sozial-schwachen Familien,
-ja, einige der Eltern sind Alkoholiker,
-ja, einige der Mütter sind Prostituierte,
-ja, die Kinder sind recht schwach in der Schule etc.,
aber das hindert sie nicht daran, dass sie Großes erreichen können. Wen der Herr beruft, den befähigt er auch. Unsere Kinder sollen wissen, dass sie nicht weniger wert sind als andere.

Weihnachtsfeier
Natürlich darf eine Weihnachtsfeier nicht fehlen. Da Nagaland ein chr.istlicher Staat ist, wird Weihnachten groß gefeiert. Überall gibt es Deko und Lichterketten an den Geschäften und Häusern und jeder ist gut gelaunt. Da passiert es leider auch schnell, dass man den eigentlichen Sinn verpasst und es kommt doch vor, dass einige die Bedeutung hinter dem Fest nicht wissen. In unserer Weihnachtsfeier wird darüber aufgeklärt und unser Herr und Erlöser wird gefeiert.
Aber natürlich dürfen bei Kindern Geschenke nicht fehlen. Jedes Jahr haben wir etwas „Praktisches“ gegeben, wie Hygienartikel oder etwas für die Schule, aber dieses Jahr wollten wir die Kids einfach nur mit einem kleinen Spielzeug glücklich machen. Sowas haben sie ja auch kaum.

Neue Räumlichkeiten
Wie in der Vergangenheit schon öfters geschrieben, hatten wir in der Nähe des „The Garden“ nur ein kleines Zimmer für die Kinderprogramme. Das war so eng, es haben kaum alle hinein gepasst. Es ist unglaublich schwierig bessere Räumlichkeiten in der Nähe vom „The Garden“ zu finden. Nun haben wir einen größeren Raum bekommen, der sogar ein Badezimmer hat. So ein Luxus! Es ist jetzt alles um einiges einfacher. Dennoch hoffen und be.ten wir immer noch ein passendes „richtiges“ Haus zu bekommen. Dann hätten wir auch keine Probleme bei der Gruppenaufteilung und zudem so viel mehr Möglichkeiten.
